Explore the Colombian higher education system through general indicators, as well as institution by institution: enrollment, faculty, program offerings, and an institution comparison tool. Built from the public microdata of SNIES — the National Higher Education Information System, the official Ministry of Education source that centralizes statistics for all higher education institutions in the country (2024 statistical cut) — access the original datasets here.

This is an exploratory public-data analysis exercise, not an official publication — it does not claim absolute accuracy and may contain processing errors. If you find one, or have suggestions to improve the tool, write to me at the email above.

✅ This tool uses the Registro Calificado (Qualified Registry) from the Ministry of Education — the legal catalog of authorized programs, updated with every resolution (independent of whether the program already has enrolled students). Only programs with Activo (Active) status are shown, current as of the download date (July 2026) — this includes programs registered in any year since SNIES began, not just recent ones. Unlike the other program search (based on 2024 enrollment microdata), here you will find newly approved programs that don't yet have any cohorts.
